The Company History
adeco Türfüllungstechnik GmbH was founded in 1994 by Dipl.-Ing. (Graduate Engineer) Hans-Josef Kalefeld and businessman Christian Reckendrees in Herzebrock-Clarholz. Those early days began with ten employees in an operating area of just under 1,500 m² and the production of classic plastic entrance door panels with solid PU ornamental frames. The initial design was similar to old timber entrance doors. Before long, however, the design was revitalised, though the materials GFK and PU remained the same.
In 1998 adeco Türfüllungstechnik GmbH introduced a modern design with contemporary materials to the market in the form of the Inoxa (stainless steel) series. The models Indura and Index from this series count among the company's most sold models even today. The Inoxa series helped adeco to rapid growth in the following years. By 2001 the staff had grown to 50 people. Nearly 20,000 entrance door panels were produced annually in a production area measuring roughly 3,500 m².
After aluminium insulated sandwich door panels were added to the range in 1998 simultaneously with the introduction of the Inoxa series, in 2002 the company used the material aluminium in a further reduced range of models in terms of stylistic elements. The Decenta series was born, and together with the attachment door panel, it fueled further expansion.
Due to the changing sales structure, in late fall of 2004 management decided to invest in cutting-edge NC technology and a powder coating system in a new production hall wing. The new production hall with a production area of 1,500 m² was commissioned/started-up in April 2006. An additional hall with a production area of 3,000 m² was inaugurated in January 2011. This is where the milling machines for processing the aluminium surfaces are kept. At the beginning of 2016 the production processes were once again optimised. To this end an additional 3,500 m² production area was commissioned/started-up, so that today production takes place on a total surface area of 11,500 m².
Product series such as, for instance the foil-coated aluminium entrance door panels with their modern foil coating in wood appearance like the Alu Ligna class, wood-aluminium entrance door panels whose solid wood on the door's inner face exudes cosiness and authenticity, contribute to adeco's current production of approx. 30,000 entrance door panels annually. The number of employees at adeco has risen steadily and currently includes 150 people.
